Dec 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famous Barbie doll which is a must accompany for all the little girls has recently became part of a controversial net activity. A threat cropped up after an individual by the name of Sandra McDermott found a link to a pornographic chat site on a Barbie.com page. Sandra McDermott was apparently trying to upload videos for her 10 year old daughter. This recent cyber incident has come up as a blemish on the pretty doll which has ruled the toy market for several past years.

Mattel who are the makers of Barbie has been going through a harrowing experience ever since these incidents have been coming up. Reportedly, they have also apologized for this recent scam that shook the mother of the 10 year old. Sandra McDermott claimed that she had no clue as to what would show up next on her screen after she clicked that particular link. As soon as the page opened to her horror, she found that it was a pure pornographic site and the Barbie doll simply had no connection with it. Without wasting any more time she quickly sent her daughter out of the room lest she should come across such vulgar things.

When questioned on this issue, Mattel said that the page was actually made by a third party vendor on whom the charges of promotion had been given. They further added that the ones who had actually created the Barbie movie video contest website had by mistake typed the wrong things following which this nuisance shot up. The page was taken off immediately.
