Australian cops hunt Asians for bashing youth
August 5th, 2010 - 4:47 pm ICT by IANSMelbourne, Aug 5 (IANS) Australian police are hunting a gang of thugs of Asian appearance for beating up three youths in this city.
A 20-year-old was taken to hospital and treated for serious cranial fractures after he was punched and kicked in his head following a verbal stoush outside a carpark Sunday.
The Pascoe Vale man had just left the multi-level carpark with three friends around 12.15 a.m. when they got into an argument with a group of six, five of whom looked Asian, The Age reported Thursday.
Two other men, a 26-year-old and an 18-year-old, were also assaulted and suffered minor cuts to their heads and bodies.
Police said the argument turned violent after one of the females from the group ran towards Flinders Lane and returned moments later with a group of 11 men, all of Asian appearance.
They were then joined by another two men who had been standing at the carpark exit and physically attacked three of the four victims.
