- Melbourne, Oct 14 (ANI): A Californian woman who won the competition to find a helper for Best Job in the World island caretaker Ben Southall seems to be the world’s worst communicator.
The Tourism Queensland online competition, which closed on October 7, offered a seven-week, all expenses-paid holiday in the state for the winner and three friends, reports News.com.au.
The only responsibility of the successful applicant, drawn from more than 23,000 entries from about 150 countries, was to travel Queensland for free and help Southall write about it in guest blogs.
However, TQ said that it had been unable to contact the woman because she had not responded to telephone calls, emails and other online messages.
TQ said that it would re-draw the competition in case further efforts to get in touch with the winner failed, and that her last date to claim the prize is October 23. (ANI)
