Livermore (California), April 5 (IANS) Arjun Atwal shot one of the worst rounds of his career with a 10-over 82 that saw him crash out before the weekend in the $600,000 Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship on the Nationwide Tour. Atwal, who was 47th after his first round of 73, was 11-over 155 for two rounds Friday.
Nationwide Tour rookie J.J. Killeen shot a 3-under-par 69 and took a commanding lead at the halfway point. Killeen, 26, is at 10-under 134 after two rounds at The Course at Wente Vineyards and leads by five strokes over Aron Price (70) and Joe Daley (70). Guy Boros (69) is in fourth, six shots back.
A total of 61 players made the 36-hole cut, which came at 3-over-par 147.
The Wente Vineyards course is the toughest on the Nationwide Tour for the past two seasons, but Killeen established a new 36-hole record.
