Wichita (Kansas), Aug 9 (IANS) Indian golfer Arjun Atwal shot an even par 71 in the second round to total three-under 139, but still missed the cut at the Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open on the Nationwide Tour by one stroke. Atwal had birdies on the ninth, 14th, 16th and dropped bogeys on the fourth, eighth and 13th in the second round Friday. He had earlier shot a three-under 68 in first round.
American Scott Piercy, who fired a nine-under 62 in the second round to go 16-under emerged atop the leaderboard. Piercy had a 64 in first round and is leading by three shots over Chris Anderson (64-65).
