London, Feb 2: Love rat England footballer Ashley Cole has been described as a phoney by a friend of Page 3 beauty Jakki Degg, who claimed last night that he tried to bed Degg for three years, and even phoned her for a few months after his wedding to Cheryl.

He chased her for a date for three years and they became friends. He was with Arsenal at the time. He was suggestive and flirting, but she just wasnt interested. She just put it down to Ashley being Ashley and brushed off his advances, The Sun quoted Deggs friend, as saying.

Hes a naughty boy and always will be. Hes one of those blokes who cant help himself, she added.

She hasnt heard from him recently, she claimed.

The Sun last week exposed Coles romp with 22-year-old hairdresser Aimee Walton and a fling with Scots glamour model Brooke Healey, 23.
