Fort Meade, Dec 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, the army doctor who questioned the birth of President Barack Obama, has finally been sentenced to military prison for six months, after being terminated from the army. It took three days of court martial for the military jury to give the final hearing.
Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, has been rendered guilty for not obeying the president’s order after showing skepticism about his place of birth. He was supposed to leave Fort Campbell, Kentucky, in April, to set off for Afghanistan, but he refused to obey the highest authority and never turned up. Terrence Lakin’s lawyer Neal Puckett, said that he might have taken a wrong decision, but he was also provided with several bad advises by his previous attorneys. However, his prosecutor did not buy the explanation and said that he has “invited and earned” the punishment. However, not everyone is finding Terrence Lakin guilty. According to some people, he is still a martyr, who has set an example for the ‘Birther’ movement. Orly Taitz, the facto head of the ‘Birther’ movement said that he is a winner for them, as he has provided more exposure to the issue, thereby putting more pressure on the president to establish his birth in United States with a significant proof.
However, it seems that Terrence Lakin is still quite rigid on his stand, as he has clearly stated that every citizens and servicemen in America has the right to know about his birth and his legal eligibility to serve as the president and commander-in-chief. In case, he is ineligible then every order that has been enforced by him, and his subordinates are illegal. Neal Puckett described him as “victim of an obsession”, however, no one can question his patriotism or loyalty towards America.
