Arab League lauds UAE for anti-smoking efforts
June 7th, 2010 - 11:46 pm ICT by IANSCairo, June 7 (IANS/WAM) The Arab League Monday lauded the UAE for its anti-smoking efforts in the country.
Salim Alkhadim Dhanhani, assistant to ambassador for political, economic and media affairs at the UAE embassy in Cairo, received a certificate of honour during the World No-Tobacco Day celebrations at the Arab League headquarters.
It said in a citation that UAE promulgated law to control tobacco, prepared visual health warnings and developed anti-smoking regulations.
