The firm went home with a total of six awards at the T3 Gadget Awards ceremony, considered to be the Oscars of the technology world.

Apple’s iPhone scooped the Most Anticipated Gadget for 2008 award, while the iPod took home the titles of Best Commuter Gadget, Best Music Gadget and Best Gadget of All Time.

To top it all, iTunes claimed its place as the year’s Best Download Service, while the Macbook Pro scooped the Drop Dead Gorgeous Award.

“Apple really does appear to be an unstoppable force right now. The iPhone and the iPod Touch may have received some mixed press at times, but consumers are salivating over the products and the company is still unshakeable,” The Sun quoted Michael Brook, Editor of T3 Magazine, as saying.

“Four of the T3 awards collected by Apple were reader voted, reflecting how the company has made its mark on consumers as well as the industry. The iPod is not just a true tech icon but also a huge factor in bringing technology to the mainstream,” he added.

The ceremony, held at Floridita, a Cuban-inspired venue in the heart of London, was presented by Friday Night Project funnyman Justin Lee Collins. (ANI)
