It is believed to have been used during the Battle of Changping (262 BC), reported Xinhua.
The Changping battle was one of 10 decisive battles that would reshape the country’s central region during the Warring States period (475-221 BC).
The canteen is believed to date to approximately 2,200 years ago and is located between the city of Gaoping and Lingchuan county in Shanxi Province.
The canteen is believed to have been used by soldiers who were camped out while fighting the Battle of Changping, which pitted the states of Qin and Zhao against each other.
