An earthquake with the intensity of 5.3 richter scale in Loyalty Islands.
The quake occurred on Friday, October 03, 2008 at 03:40:29 UTC ( Coordinated Universal Time ) and Friday, October 03, 2008 at 02:40:29 PM at epicenter local time as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter is 95 km (60 miles) W of Ile Hunter, Loyalty Isl., New Caledonia,345 km (215 miles) ESE of Tadine, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia,485 km (300 miles) E of NOUMEA, New Caledonia, 1650 km (1030 miles) NNW of Auckland, New Zealand with the depth of 10 km (6.2 miles) set by location program.
Today morning also there was an earthquake with 5.2 richter scale.
