Amy Winehouse hospitalised, tests ‘inconclusive’June 18th, 2008 - 1:29 pm ICT by IANS
New York, June 18 (IANS) Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse, who collapsed at her London home, will have to remain in hospital because test results are inconclusive. Doctors were called Monday after the 24-year-old star fainted and her father, Mitch, demanded she be taken to hospital as “a precaution” where tests were carried out. The results have proven inconclusive. Therefore she has been ordered to stay in hospital for at least one more day, hollywood.com reports.
“Doctors want to get to the bottom of it before releasing her. There will be further tests and they will keep her under observation. She seems to be fine, but they are taking their time to be sure,” said a spokesman.
The spokesman adds that Winehouse had been signing autographs for Canadian fans who had been waiting outside her house all day when she fainted.
