American Eunice Sanborn Named Oldest Woman Across The World

oldNov 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American Eunice Sanborn has become the oldest women all across the world after Eugenie Blanchard, who was known to hold the record till now passed away on Thursday. Despite the fact that Eunice Sanborn who is a resident of Jacksonville, Texas, has been named as the oldest women in the world, there is some debate about her age. The family members of the newly-assigned oldest women of the world have revealed that Eunice Sanborn is actually a year older than what the officials records state and her actual age is 115.

The Jacksonville, Texas resident turned 115 in the month of July this year. Eunice Sanborn’s family claims that the lady was born in the year 1895 although the US Census Bureau did an error and recorded her year of birth as 1896. The woman’s son David French told reporters that despite suffering from few sleepless nights, Eunice Sanborn is otherwise in pretty good health. Her family members also revealed that when she was informed about her unique ‘achievement’, he instant reaction was “Oh, think of that” before asking what happened to the previous record holder. When she got to know that her predecessor has passed away, she said that she was sorry for her and her family.

Meanwhile, Eugenie Blanchard who was considered to be the oldest women across the world breathed her last on Thursday at the French Caribbean island of St. Barts. She was 114 years of age at the time of her demise. Eugenie Blanchard attained fame as the oldest women in the world after Kama Chinen of Japan passed away before the age of 115.
