Sep 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Amanda Knox, the 23 years old convicted murderer, will be entertaining others with her music, in the Christmas Show this year. She was sentenced to 26 years of imprisonment in 2007 for the brutal sex murder of a 21 years old student called Meredith Kercher. The Musical director of the Capanne jail in Italy, Federico, believes that Amanda Knox has a “formidable soprano” with an incredibly captivating voice.

Amanda Knox has always been a music buff and she often entertains her inmates with her music and guitar. Therefore, right in the first year of her sentence, the prison Chaplain Don Saulo Scarabattoli, has made her perform for the Christmas concert held annually. She has been asked to perform on traditional Christmas songs like Carols and Hymns. During her trial she was often seen in “Beatles” T-shirt. For the last one year in the Capanne jail, she has been striving to improve herself in playing guitar. She believes that it is only music that keeps her going in the jail.

Amanda Knox was accused for brutally murdering her flat mate Meredith Kercher, who was an exchange student from the University of Perugia. Amanda, who hailed from Seattle, Washington, went to Perugia in order to pursue a one year course in Italian, German and Creative writing in the University of Foreigners. She met her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito in a classical music concert and got into a relationship. The couple was responsible for Meredith Kercher’s death. Both of them have been sentenced to a quarter century of imprisonment. In this November, Amanda Knox will again appeal to the court at her defense and claim that DNA evidences presented in the court previously was fake and manipulated.
