Alcoholic energy drinks will be transformed into Ethanol
January 7th, 2011 - 9:22 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Jan 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Officials in the United States are taking some alcoholic energy drinks from off the shelves after it was found that the drinks could potentially harm its consumers.
Federal agents became worried after it was realized that these alcohol could cause people to be drunk and fully awake. That is right. Authorities say the drink can potentially cause those that get boozed by it to stay active and that is dangerous for their lives.
Subsequently wholesalers have been asked to send the drinks to a plant in Virginia where it will be recycled into ethanol. The MXI Environmental Services will later miss the ethanol with gasoline to be used as fuel. The can of the energy drinks will also be recycled to make the recycle complete.
MXI Environmental Services’ Vice President of Operations, Brian Potter, told reporters that, “couple of hundred truckloads each carrying 2,000 cases are on their way to MXI, which can process four trucks a day. There are about 30 different products involved, and we’ve only seen a couple of them at this point. It could go on for several months.”
The cans of alcoholic energy drinks mostly the Loko brands were taken off the shelves last year.
