Al Qaeda publicly executes three for spying
February 12th, 2012 - 8:52 pm ICT by IANSAden (Yemen), Feb 12 (IANS) Two Saudi nationals and a Yemeni — all members of the Al Qaeda’s Yemen wing — were Sunday publicly executed for allegedly spying for the Yemeni army and US intelligence agencies, Xinhua reported.
The Al Qaeda also accused the three of collaborating with intelligence agencies of Saudi Arabia.
They were shot dead publicly at dawn in Jaar city of the southern province of Abyan, a source told Xinhua.
The three had reportedly confessed to attaching spying devices to a number of vehicles of terrorist leaders, who were killed earlier this month in US drone strikes.
