Akali Dal to vote against Govt.

New Delhi , July 11 (ANI): The Shiromani Akali Dal will vote against the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government during the floor test in Parliament.

The Akali Dal has eight members in the Lok Sabha,

A senior party leader said in Jalandhar on Friday, it has been decided by the party that it will vote against the UPA Government, but a final decision will be taken by the Political Affairs Committee on Tuesday, when party President, Sukhbir Singh Badal returns from abroad.

Punjab Minister and senior Akali leader, Captain Kanwaljit Singh told reporters that his party supports nuclear power but as far as the Indo-US nuclear treaty is concerned, there are still doubts about it.

He alleged that the UPA Government has kept political parties in the dark on the issue. (ANI)
