Airline employee caught fondling passenger in plane (Lead)
October 30th, 2010 - 3:46 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Oct 30 (IANS) A woman employee of Australian airlines Qantas, who was not on duty, was allegedly caught fondling a passenger during a flight. The airlines said the matter is being “dealt with”.
The woman - who was not an air hostess and was travelling on a staff ticket - was ordered to switch seats during the flight after she was caught fondling the male passenger in the business class during a flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles, The Sun reported.
A Qantas spokesman said: “The matter is being dealt with. The employee has returned to work.”
The pair, who had had a few glasses of champagne, were found fondling each other after the cabin lights had been dimmed. They tried to hide their act beneath a blanket, but passengers noticed it.
They were asked to stop by a flight attendant. Even then they could not keep their hands off each other and were eventually told to sit apart.
