Ahmadinejad ‘advises’ Obama to refrain from making ‘false’ statement on secret plant

Jerusalem, Sep. 26 (ANI): Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ‘advised’ US President Barack Obama not to push Tehran over its secret uranium enrichment plant.
“If I were Obama’s adviser, I would definitely advise him to refrain making this statement because it is definitely a mistake,” The Jerusalem Post quoted Ahmadinejad, as saying.
Ahmadinejad also said that Israel “would not dare attack Iran,” and if the Jewish nation did so, “The Iranians can defend themselves.”
His statements have come in the wake of new revelations surfacing that the country has been building a secret uranium enrichment plant.
Ahmadinejad went on to claim that Teheran was not concealing any information from the International Atomic Energy Agency, saying: “We have no secrecy, we work within the framework of the IAEA.” Recently, Iran has called the plant, “a semi-industrial plant for enriching nuclear fuel” that would not be operational for 18 months.
Meanwhile, at the G-20 meeting, Obama, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown demanded that Iran quickly disclose all its nuclear efforts, including any moves toward weapons development “or be held accountable.”
“The Iranian government must now demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law,” Obama said.
“We will not let this matter rest,” said Brown, who accused Iran of “serial deception.”
Sarkozy said Iran has until December to comply or face new sanctions.
Iran is scheduled to meet next week with the US and other major powers to discuss a range of issues including Iran’s nuclear program. (ANI)
