Abu Dhabi varsity to promote multicultural harmony

Abu Dhabhi, May 29 (IANS/WAM) Students from Abu Dhabi University and 16 countries will give traditional performances Thursday as part of the annual Global Day celebrations.

The performances will feature traditional ceremonies from different parts of the world, depicting the various valued traditions and customs from different cultures, as well as traditional dances, and bejewelled ethnic-wear from Jordan, South Korea, Morocco, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Mexico, Iraq, Turkey and Gulf countries.

Traditional Emirati dances will take the centre-stage at the event to highlight the local wedding ceremonies.
