Abu Dhabi sees fewer deaths in traffic accidents

Abu Dhabi, June 4 (IANS/WAM) The number of deaths and injuries in traffic accidents over the last four months in Abu Dhabi has gone down by 45 and 34 percent respectively over the corresponding period last year.

There were 71 deaths and 70 injuries in the first four months.

Col. Hamad Nasser Al Baloushi, director of the External Roads Traffic Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said the police has been implementing an awareness programme to help motorists abide by traffic laws and safety guides.
