Abu Dhabhi girls to attend training programme in Scotland
July 3rd, 2011 - 10:44 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, July 3 (IANS/WAM) A group of girl students of Abu Dhabi University will undergo a month-long training programme at Al Maktoum College, an international research-led college of higher education, in Dundee, Scotland.
The June 23-July 19 training programme will focus on multiculturalism and leadership and a number of contemporary global issues, such as cultural engagement and global awareness.
During their stay, the students will also visit the parliaments of Britain and Scotland.
The programme, designed specifically for girl students from the UAE and Qatar, is an annual event and a carefully selected group of students is invited to attend.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai and the UAE minister of finance, is the patron and sponsor of the Al Maktoum College.
