London, Jan 1 (ANI): Soon-to be-married Prince William was given a special festive treat to unwind himself after working on Christmas Day-the Queen’s cider.
The 28-year-old spent Boxing Day at Sandringham in Norfolk to try the tipple made for the first time last year from apples grown on the royal estate, reports the Sun.
“William has always loved his cider and wanted to taste the Sandringham variety,” the Sun quoted a royal source as saying.
“He certainly wasn’t disappointed and enjoyed a few pints of it,” said the source.
For more than 70 years, Sandringham has housed the royal apple orchards since King George VI planted the first tree on the estate.
After years of making apple juice, which is served to guests at garden parties, the estate ventured into cider last summer. (ANI)
