A four year old girl dies after jumping into washing machine
February 4th, 2009 - 11:13 am ICT by Amrit RashmisrisethiA four year old Californian girl, died after jumping into a washing machine, where her 15-month-old brother turned it on by accident, sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.
The girl died from blunt force trauma after being thrown around inside the front-loading machine for around two minutes said the Orange County sheriff’s and coroner’s investigators said
Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said the controls to the machine were around 20 inches (51 centimetres) off the ground, close enough for the boy to reach.
The girl was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center following the incident on Monday but died several hours later.
