London, Aug 26 (ANI): UK Prime Minister David Cameron and wife Samantha Cameron have named their newborn baby daughter Florence Rose Endellion.
With the name, the PM kept his promise to pick a Cornish moniker for his daughter, born by caesarean at Truro’s Royal Cornwall Hospital, reports the Sun.
‘Endellion’ is taken from ‘St Endellion’, the tiny North Cornish village, where she was born on Tuesday.
“St Endellion! The name is like a ring of bells,” Poet John Betjeman has written of the picturesque spot.
It is assumed to be named after 6th-century Celtic saint Endelienta.
St Endellion is also the name of a local brie-type cheese. (ANI)
