A 5′1″ teenager who saved a 6′7″ friend from drowning
September 3rd, 2011 - 6:45 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 3 (IANS) A teenager in Britain who is just 5 feet 1 inch tall managed to save a 6-foot-7-inch tall friend from drowning.
Greening towers above his pint-sized friend Sam Brear, but he was saved by him.
Sam, 15, dived into a canal and kept his big friend afloat for 20 minutes, reported The Sun.
Adam had jumped in for a lark but he could not swim back as the water was too cold.
“I tried to get him out but it was difficult because he was so heavy. I held him up and kept him talking,” Sam was quoted as saying.
After a 20-minute struggle he managed to pull out his friend by now unconscious.
Greening said: “I thought I was going to die.”
