November 4, 2010 (Pen Men At Work): An 81 year old woman has been reported as critical after being stung at least 1000 times by yellow jacket wasps in the backyard of her Florida residence. The incident took place this Saturday evening. Authorities who arrived at the scene of accident have identified the woman by the name of Juanita Foshee. It has been reported that though the yellow wasps had stung the octogenarian a 1000 times, she managed to reach inside her house to call out to her son for help.

A medical unit from the Lakeland region of Florida was summoned to carry the 81 year old woman to hospital. Juanita Foshee’s doctor confirmed the fact that her body had received a 1000 stings from the yellow wasps. It has further been reported that keeping her age in mind, the wasp bites have had far-reaching effects on the health of Juanita Foshee. Not only is her body bruised, the woman’s liver and kidneys have also been affected by the poison of the wasps, which rapidly spread through her entire system.

Juanita Foshee is currently housed at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Doctors have reported that her condition is critical and she will thus be housed in the intensive care unit of the center. The media therefore cannot get access to the lady but have been in talks with her husband. Juanita Foshee’s family is upset over the incident since they have not been given word of whether she will ever recover from the wasp stings.
