8 feared dead as plane goes missing in Peru
June 11th, 2010 - 6:03 am ICT by IANSLima, June 11 (IANS) A small plane with six passengers and two crew members went missing in Peru Thursday, officials said.
The private plane took off at 1215 GMT to fly over Nazca Lines, a tourist location, but did not return to its scheduled destination at Marie Reiche Airport, said the Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation (Corpac).
Sources at Nazca airport said the pilot did not make contact with the control tower to report a problem, Xinhua reported.
Feb. 25, a plane crashed in the Nazca Lines, killing all the seven people on board.
