6.8-magnitude quake rocks Chile
February 12th, 2011 - 1:46 pm ICT by IANSConcepcion (Chile), Feb 12 (IANS) A 6.8-magnitude quake rocked the Bio Bio region in southern Chile but there was no damage or casualty, Xinhua reported. The quake occurred at 17.05 p.m. Friday, and its epicentre was located 45 km north of Concepcion at a depth of 28 km, the US geology survey said.
The quake caused panic among people in Concepcion. Officials have ruled out the possibility of tsunami.
