6.3 magnitude quake hits New Zealand, causes deaths
February 22nd, 2011 - 10:58 am ICT by IANSChristchurch (New Zealand), Feb 22 (IANS) A massive earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale Tuesday hit New Zealand South Island’s largest city of Christchurch for the second time in less than six months, causing multiple deaths and widespread destruction.Police said fatalities had been reported at several locations and that two buses had been crushed by falling buildings, Xinhua reported.
