6 die in Pakistan drone strike
October 13th, 2011 - 2:07 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Oct 13 (IANS) At least six people were killed and two injured in a drone strike Thursday in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region.
A US drone fired two missiles at a house in Miranshah area of North Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The house caught fire and six suspected militants were killed on the spot while two others were injured, reported Xinhua citing media reports.
The locals started rescue work.
The injured were shifted to hospital in Miranshah where their condition was reportedly critical.
Details about the identities of the dead are not immediately available.
Many key militant leaders were killed in such US drone strikes in the past in Pakistan.
