50 mobile phone movies to be shown at Shanghai fest
May 29th, 2011 - 6:22 pm ICT by IANSShanghai, May 29 (IANS) Fifty short movies shot with mobile phone cameras would be screened at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival beginning June 11, organisers said Sunday.
The movies would also compete in the different categories, Xinhua reported.
This would be the first time that mobile phone movies compete at the festival. There are entries from 27 countries that would vie for awards in nine categories.
About 10,000 movies shot by professionals and amateurs are enrolled in the competition.
The festival also plans to continue the mobile phone movie competition and promote the winners in the international arena.
