46 die in China mine blast (Lead)
June 21st, 2010 - 11:45 am ICT by IANSBeijing, June 21 (IANS) At least 46 people were killed in an explosion in a coal mine early Monday in China’s Henan province, the authorities said.
A total of 72 miners were trapped after explosives went off at the Xingdong Number 2 mine in Pingdingshan city, Xinhua reported. The cause of the explosion is not known.
