400 illegal migrants arrested in Moscow
August 11th, 2011 - 8:06 pm ICT by IANSMoscow, Aug 11 (IANS/RIA Novosti) More than 400 illegal immigrants have been arrested near an airport in Moscow, police said Thursday.
“It was revealed that Tajik and Uzbek nationals have been living illegally in the area of Bykovo airport. Over 400 people have been rounded up,” an interior ministry statement said.
Last month, 72 illegal immigrants were arrested from a makeshift camp in Moscow. In April, police uncovered an illegal underground camp in the same area which even had its own mosque.
