4 killed in fireworks blast in China
January 11th, 2010 - 5:55 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Beijing, Jan 11 (IANS) Four persons including an infant were killed and two injured in a blast at an illegal workshop of firecrackers in China, an official said Monday.
The blast occurred in the house of a farmer in eastern Anhui province Sunday, Xihua reported.
The farmer, who was also killed in the incident, had no production licence and transported fireworks raw materials illegally, the official added.
Chinese set off fireworks to celebrate their traditional spring festival which falls on Feb 14.
