37 killed in China mine blast
September 21st, 2008 - 4:34 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Zhengzhou (China), Sep 21 (Xinhua) At least 37 workers were killed in a massive explosion in a coal mine in central China’s Henan province early Sunday, rescuers said.The accident happened at about 1.10 a.m. at the Xinfeng mine when some 100 people were working in the pit, an official spokesman said.
Sixtyfour of them ran to safety, he said, adding that the injured had been taken to hospital.
