Kabul, Dec 3 (IANS) Three NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members were killed in an attack in eastern Afghanistan Saturday, reported Xihua, citing an ISAF press release.
The three ISAF service members died “following an improvised explosive device attack (IED) in eastern Afghanistan” on Saturday, said the news release, adding “It is the ISAF’s policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.”
The Afghan Taliban has launched massive IED attacks against ISAF and Afghan national security forces in recent years.
