29 years old UK man all set to be a grand-dad
January 25th, 2011 - 10:50 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Jan 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 29-year-old man in the United Kingdom may be the youngest grandfather in the country and one of the youngest in the world, if his daughter gives birth at the age of 14 years.
Everything seems to be happening again because in summer, the man’s daughter will give birth to what will become his grandchild. The Mirror broke the story but the newspaper has refused to publish the name of the man because they want to protect the identity of the daughter who is still a minor.
He realized that his daughter was pregnant just when she started her GCSE. When he realized it, she was already 11 weeks into her pregnancy. He admitted that he is mad at the situation.
He told The Mirror that, “It’s like history repeating itself. I quite like the idea of being the youngest grandad in Britain, but at the same time I’m fuming that she is pregnant.”
He however assured that he will not neglect the daughter to care for the baby alone. He said that the whole family will be waiting to welcome the baby into the world.
The man’s 47-year-old mother who is said to be delighted to welcome another addition to the family is also going to be among the youngest great-grandmothers in the United Kingdom.
