According to a Daily News Express report, the BBC’s factual programming may be worst hit if the BBC Trust approves plans to slash the workforce by 12 percent.

It quoted a Financial Times report as saying that BBC Director General Mark Thompson is seeking budget cuts of six percent in each of the next five years to make up a two billion pound shortfall between the licence fee settlement and the funds that he wants.

He is expected to outline his plans to the BBC Trust on October 17, the paper reports. (ANI)
