26 kg narcotics seized in Dubai
January 30th, 2012 - 11:34 pm ICT by IANSDubai, Jan 30 (IANS/WAM) Dubai Customs officials have foiled a bid to smuggle 26 kg of narcotic crystal meth into the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The prohibited substance was found hidden in auto spare parts inside a transit shipment at the Customs Village Centre, a statement said Monday.
An official said the drugs originated from an Asian country. He did not give any details.
Officials carried out an X-ray scan and a manual search of the package before asking a mobile laboratory and sniffer dog unit to verify the contents.
