25 killed in Nigeria bomb blasts
June 27th, 2011 - 4:38 am ICT by IANSLagos (Nigeria), June 27 (IANS) At least 25 people were killed and 12 others injured in three bomb blasts that occurred in northeastern Nigeria, media reports said Sunday.
The bomb attack was carried out by Boko Haram, an Islamic sect in that area,Sunday afternoon, Xinhua quoted Nigerian authorities as saying.
The attack seems to have targetted outdoor beer gardens.
Earier this month, Boko Haram had claimed responsibility for the deadly bomb attack on the police headquarters in the country’s capital of Abuja.
