25 die in Brazil accident
March 6th, 2011 - 11:37 am ICT by IANSRio de Janeiro, March 6 (IANS/EFE) At least 25 people, including members of a bowling club, were killed in a collision between a truck and a bus in southern Brazil, police said.
The accident occurred on a highway between Sao Miguel do Oeste and Maravilha in Santa Catarina state Saturday.
The bus was carrying 43 members of a bowling club who were travelling from Rio Grande do Sul state to take part in a tournament in the northern state of Para.
The driver of the truck lost control while negotiating a curve and veered into the oncoming lane, they said.
