25 dead in Kenya road accident
February 4th, 2012 - 7:23 pm ICT by IANSNairobi, Feb 4 (IANS) At least 25 people died in western Kenya when a speeding lorry rammed into a passenger van, Xinhua reported Saturday.
The accident occurred at 9.00 p.m. Friday on the Kisumu-Kakamega highway, spokesperson for Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) Nelly Muluka said.
Passengers from both the vehicles were among those who lost their lives. It was not immediately clear how many people were travelling in the vehicles nor the cause of the crash.
