20 militants killed in Pakistan
November 16th, 2011 - 6:08 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Nov 16 (IANS) At least 20 militants were killed in clashes with security forces Wednesday in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region bordering Afghanistan, a media report said.
The clashes took place in Kurram Agency, Xinhua reported citing Urdu TV channel Duniya.
Sources said one trooper was killed and another three were injured in the clashes.
The clashes broke out when the militants launched an attack on an army check-post in Murghan area of east Kurram Agency.
The army retaliated with gunship helicopters and destroyed four militant hideouts.
