2 NATO tankers destroyed by militants in Pakistan
December 20th, 2010 - 4:32 pm ICT by ANIPeshawar, Dec 20(ANI): At least two tankers, carrying fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan, were attacked by militants in Pakistan’s Khyber tribal region on Monday.
According to the Dawn, the tankers were completely destroyed after being hit by rockets in the tribal area’s Jamrud tehsil.
Exchange of fire also took place between militants and security forces.
After the attack, the Pak-Afghan highway had been blocked and supplies to NATO forces in Afghanistan were temporarily suspended. (ANI)
