2 million Cuban students get trained in arts
January 18th, 2012 - 6:01 pm ICT by IANSHavana, Jan 18 (IANS) Over two million school students in Cuba are receiving training in arts such as drama, music and painting as part of an initiative launched by the country’s education authorities, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.
Arley Abreu, a senior official responsible for introducing students to cultural projects, told the Juvented Rebelde newspaper that such training allowed the development of communities and other areas like prisons.
