15 tonnes of synthetic drugs burnt in Mexico
February 20th, 2012 - 8:11 am ICT by IANSMexico City, Feb 20 (IANS/EFE) More than 15 tonnes of methamphetamines valued at 58 million pesos (around $4.5 million) have been burnt by the military in Mexico, officials said.The drugs were destroyed in in the western state of Jalisco.
Army troops seized the synthetic drugs from a ranch in Tlajomulco.
Soldiers also found 4,575 litres of chemicals, 2,400 kg of caustic soda, 20 kg of ammonia and five kg of crystal methamphetamine.
