15 bodies of Afghan plane crash victims found
May 21st, 2010 - 4:48 pm ICT by IANSGorband (Afghanistan), May 21 (IANS) Bodies of 15 passengers have been recovered five days after their plane crashed in the mountains of Afghanistan’s northern Parwan province, officials said Friday.
Afghanistan’s Pamir Airways PM 1102 flight crashed in Gorband district Monday.
The wreckage of the plane was scattered in several places over the snow covered mountains, member of parliament Fatima Aziz told Xinhua. The black box of the plane was also found.
There were 43 people, including eight foreigners, onboard.
The plane was on its way from the northern city of Kunduz to Kabul.
Officials said Friday the bodies will be sent to Kabul.
