14 killed in Bangladesh road accidents
November 27th, 2009 - 8:44 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Dhaka, Nov 27 (IANS) At least 14 people were killed and 100 injured in four road accidents during Eid-ul-Azha as people rushed home to celebrate the festival with their families.
The accidents occurred in Rajbari, Tangail, Pabna and Madaripur Friday, Star Online reported. In all the cases, the drivers of over-crowded buses lost control.
According to media reports, there is a huge rush for train and bus tickets as thousands of people leave Dhaka for their villages during the festival.
