13 dead in China pirate attack
October 23rd, 2011 - 2:17 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Oct 23 (IANS) Police in China have confirmed the death of 13 sailors following a pirate attack on two cargo ships on Mekong river, Xinhua reported Sunday.
On Oct 5, ships Hua Ping and Yu Xing 8 were attacked by unidentified armed people. Twelve Chinese sailors were killed and the Yu Xing 8 ship’s captain went missing.
Chinese officials said the discovery of Yang’s body took the death toll to 13.
